Shaolin Kung Fu refers to a traditional system which was born from Ch’an Buddhism. Amongst the various types of Kung Fu, the Shaolin system is believed to be the founding style of all martial arts. This tradition began around 1,500 years ago.

Paulo was born in Angola and trained as a boxer from a young age. His dreams of competing in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles were crushed by the political conflicts at the time which lead to Angola boycotting the Olympics that year. Having missed out on an Olympic title, Paulo now runs a boxing club, helping his students fulfil their own dreams. But more than just a boxing coach, Paulo is seen as a father figure to many of his students, having a positive impact on their lives inside and outside the ring.
2016 Feature Film Programme
The three main features that have characters in them that have something inspiring about them. They all are learning and overcoming obstacles. They also cover different genres, Kung Fu Panda 3 is a family film and a recent release, Drunken Master is a classic cult film and Ip Man 3 is current film loosely based on the life story of Ip Man who himself had an inspiring story
